We played our show today, and it felt pretty good.  The weather’s been lovely (though a bit chilly from time to time).  I tried to shoot some video of the festival, but unfortunately, I can’t seem to find a through line for the piece.  The footage seems to scattered.  Maybe I can include it in a tour montage somewhere down the road.

By the way, Happy Birthday Pops!!  We ate at L’Osteria del forno, which is a restaurant that I’ve been hearing about for a long time, but had not made it to until today.  It was excellent.  If you’re in the bay area, definitely check it out.  Here’s a pic of pops on his birthday:

HSB (that’s what the cool kids call it) has been a highlight for me the last couple of years,  so hopefully we’ll be back again next year.  We’ll just have to wait and see.

Hey folks.  We’re here in San Francisco now for the festival.  We got in yesterday afternoon, but didn’t do anything interesting.  Today we went to the park and got to check out some of the music.  I saw Gillian Welch and David Rawlings, who were great as always, and Los Lobos - who I’d never seen live before so it was cool to see them here; they were excellent, by the way.  The big party was tonight at Slim’s.  We got some food and saw some more music there before heading back to the hotel for the night.  We’re playing around noon tomorrow at the Rooster stage.  Should be fun.

As promised (or at least mentioned), here is the video of the sandwich shop in Penticton. If you ever go to Penticton, make sure you check it out. You may as well do it, since there’s not much else there. Click the image below to see the video.

I’m going to try to make it a regular feature whenever we go out on the road. Hopefully we’ll be going some place where there is somewhere that we like.
